Carol and Jerry own and operate a family Real Estate business with their daughter Kelli. Together they have over 74 years of real estate sales experience. Their business is dedicated to providing the best residential real estate services available, thereby making lifelong relationships and earning referral, the lifeblood of the real estate business. – Working in a community setting, The Bartlett Group generously supports the community, schools and youth sports.
Jerry Bartlett has been involved in real estate sales since 1966. That year he earned a real estate license, and Carol and he bought their first home. For 20 years on a part-time basis, Jerry helped friends buy and sell residential and investment properties. In 1986 he retired from the Federal Government, where he has served in a variety of analytical and management positions, and entered the real estate business on a full-time basis.
In addition to more than 44 years of real estate sales experience, Jerry Bartlett:
1) Is a Life Member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors
(NVAR):
2) Has earned advanced licensing and professional designations as a:
- Real Estate Broker
- "Council of Residential Specialist" (CRS)
- "Accredited Buyers Representative" (ABR)
- "Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource" (SFR)
Jerry has served on the Board of Directors of the NVAR. He actively serves on NVAR committees where policy, direction, and training are formulated, developed and disseminated to REALTORs, brokers and the community. His involvement and experience in NVAR matters include:
- Condominium Committee 1987 to1992
- Finance Forum 1990 to 2001, 2007 to Present – (continuous meetings, training and outreach programs are conducted with leaders in the Mortgage and Appraisal businesses)
- Standard Forms Committee 1995 to 2008 – (continuous reviews and updates of all standard forms, contracts and addenda to assure that they are in compliance with ever changing laws and regulations, as well as recent litigation and ethics issues)
- Ethics Committee 1998 to 2003, 2006 - 2008 – (investigates and presents findings concerning allegations of ethical violations)
- Legislation & Government Affairs 1999 to 2003 – (reviews and comments on all legislation that affects real estate ownership and the real estate industry)
- Arbitration Committee 2004 and 2005 – (investigates and presents findings regarding commission disputes)
- Chairman, Management Advisory Group 2004 and 2005 – (forum advising brokers of current changes in the law, regulations, and ethics, as well as market trends and other concerns)
Carol Bartlett, Associate Broker, NVAR “Top Producer” and “$10 Million” sales club member, has been Jerry’s wife for 50 years. They joyfully raised 3 children. One of their children recently retired from a partnership in a Wall Street firm, another recently left the United States Marines, and their third child, Kelli, honored The Bartlett Group by joining them on a full-time basis late in 2001. After the children were old enough, Carol returned to work where she spent 10 years supervising back room operations for two major mortgage companies. She made a career change and spent the next 18 years in management as the Regional Director of Personnel for an international corporation. She has been a licensed real estate agent since 1990. In 1999 Carol left the corporate life to help Jerry service his real estate clients. In 2000 Carol and Jerry purchased their first Jobin Realty office in the Kingstowne area of Alexandria. In 2005 Carol and Jerry purchased their second office in Warrenton, Virginia.
Kelli Bartlett-Pacilio, Associate Broker, NVAR “Top Producer” and “$20 Million” sales club member, is one of Jerry & Carol’s daughters. Kelli worked for more than 20 years in the mortgage business and as a loan officer and department manager at federal credit unions. Kelli has been a licensed real estate agent since 1990. Late in 2001, Kelli brought her skills to the family business on a full-time basis. Kelli is a successful listing agent for Indymac Bank, and referal agent for a national mortgage provider.
